To prevent and combat financial crimes like money laundering, prime minister Pham Minh Chinh singed Order No. 64 on February 8, 2023 to combat terrorism financing and money laundering.
Following this Regulation, Vietnam is addressing the area of money laundering prevention and counter-terrorism financing.
The order will establish a “hotline” to receive and process urgent information on terrorist financing.

On February 8, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha chaired a meeting of the National Appraisal Council for the master plan of the geological survey on minerals for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. VNA reports the Deputy Prime Minister asked for basic geological investigation activities to be one step ahead in addressing climate change. On February 8, Song Tranh 2 Hydropower Company coordinated with the People’s Committee of Bac Tra My district to organize a program to release fingerlings to regenerate aquatic resources in the reservoir bed of Song Tranh hydropower plant.
100,000 grass carp and catfish were released into the Song Tranh 2 reservoir by the Bac Tra My district and the Song Tranh 2 Hydropower Company. The business released 650,000 fingerlings, worth more than 400 million VND, into the lake.
The Song Tranh 2 Hydropower Company runs a program every year to release fingerlings into the reservoir to improve the quality of life for residents in Bac Tra My and Nam Tra My districts.

Mr. Mai Hung Dung, the standing vice chairman of the Binh Duong Province People’s Committee, and Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, the vice chairman of the Binh Duong Province People’s Committee, have been disciplined.
According to Vietnam+, the Provincial People’s Committee’s Party Committee broke party rules and state laws in bidding and purchasing biological products, chemicals, and materials for medical services aimed at preventing and controlling epidemics.
Due to the Central Inspection Committee’s disciplinary actions, Dung was removed as the standing vice chairman of the People’s Committee of the province of Binh Duong for the years 2021–2026.
