The American Ambassador to Vietnam Boasts Countries’ Bilateral Relations
US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc Knapper said in a three-minute video clip sent to the media on the occasion that while his first year had been busy, the two of us had accomplished much in 2022.
Knapper talked about cross-cultural interactions between the two sides, such as US Peace Corps volunteers teaching English in Vietnam. He claimed that among the nations sending students abroad to study in the US, Vietnam is currently ranked fifth.
The ambassador added that the US trained nearly 2,000 Vietnamese law enforcement and justice professionals last year and finished building two training facilities, one of which was for monitoring fishery activities. The US will also continue its efforts to provide security assistance to Vietnam.
The collaboration on climate change, which is typically a 36 million USD project to aid Vietnam’s efforts to accelerate its energy transition and achieve net zero by 2050, is another significant aspect of the bilateral relationship.
